One for the freezer
It was going to be our Sunday dinner, but we went over to the daughter’s for a birthday lunch for Grandson Ollie’s 16th birthday which is tomorrow. He’ll be celebrating it with two detentions at school as he was late a few times last week (one by apparently 20 seconds – so he says). I did mean to take a shot of Ollie with his pressies, however . . .
I didn’t tempt providence by putting the chicken in the freezer on Friday, but waited until we got home today.
Not a lot left to do today but to enjoy the rest of Sunday. I used to like Sunday dinner at lunch time, certainly when we were working Monday to Friday. It made (makes) a good break at the end of the week to veg out and rest for the rest of the day before going back to work on Monday, but then, when the kids got older, we started doing things on a Sunday so it got relegated to tea or supper time for the past forty five years.
