Another Glorious Autumn Morning

I met up with Bom, JohnRH and W this morning in the pretty Glaven Valley to walk the circular route around the Bayfield Estate.  Always a most attractive walk with a variety of habitat...and a chance to enjoy a coffee sitting in the garden of the Natural Surroundings cafe and nature reserve.

It was a delight to see the sows and piglets this morning, they certainly had plenty of personality and I think this mother definitely had her hands full (so to speak).  In the next field were single pigs and there was much munching to be heard as they squabbled and squealed over the contents of the troughs.

My extra is of a late chicory flower.  It was a welcome splash of blue in a field of beige/brown seedheads.
