Raised by Clams
A chilly day today, but we planned to visit the Corran Halls this morning - on the inside this time! - for the Argyll Food Festival. Daughter One, who has just returned from a week’s walking, stayed overnight and visited the Fair with friends, so we took her down to the ferry on her way home and went back to the Fair ourselves. There was a couple of guys playing on stage - 'Raised by Clams' apparently - but unfortunately the high volume made it very difficult to converse with the stallholders.
A lot of interesting food, much of it from the islands, including Skye, which isn’t in Argyll as far as I know! We bought a few items, including a Chocolate & Bramble iced bun, which seemed mighty expensive at £4.50! I had it with my tea after lunch and wasn’t overexcited to find it full of pips, just right for getting stuck in the teeth! I hope the treacle scone is better!
Finally finished off going through my photos and writing up the route for the Brick Lane Blipmeet back in 2016! 196 pictures waiting to be seen by somebody. Anyone want a slide show!! Now I’m going to go through the 53 pictures I took on our next London Blipmeet in October 2018 - should be a lot easier! After that I’ve only three more to do - one of them has 266 pictures! Nice winter job! I’m going down to London for a family do in November, so no doubt that will produce another couple of London days.
Just enough sunshine (between the clouds) to sit outside with a cuppa later.
