Interlude
B's daughter's, partner's (bear with me) family are in London for the weekend.
We have spent a proper touristy day with them starting with taking the boat from Kew Pier to Westminster. It's fascinating to see the likes of Battersea power station and the Eye from an entirely different perspective.
We crossed the river and meandered along the Southbank, one of my favourite bits of central London, stopping off to nibble a few bits in the food market and have a drink at Gabriel's Wharf.
Back over the Thames via the Millenium Bridge and slowly up through the City, via the Cheshire Cheese to Soho and finally China town for dinner.
Bit tired after a twelve hour day, but very happy - it's not often you think about being a tourist in the City you live in.
