Not As Old As The Hills ...

.... but definitely as old as mrsfb.

I was tempted to do a guitar shot for Mono Monday's something that makes sounds theme, but mrsfb came up with this teething ring and rattle. It still does.

I'm glad I looked at the back of the ring which is marked A Hilary Page Design. Apparently he was a a well-known designer of children's educational toys and founded the Kiddicraft Company in 1932.

From Wikipedia - In 1939 Hilary Page applied for a patent for 'Toy Building Blocks'. In this and subsequent patents he described hollow bricks with 4 and 8 studs on top. These Kiddicraft 'Self Locking Bricks' were a Hilary Page 'Sensible' Toy made in England after the 1939-45 war. Lego introduced their "Automatic Binding Bricks" in 1949.

Thanks for the positive comments about my prints yesterday. They won't actually be judged at camera club until 28th October. We do have a competition evening tonight though, a member judged event looking at Summer Cup images, and also entries for a sporting action trophy. I tend to fare better with judges than with members, so I am not expecting anything.
