New Cat On The Block

I wondered where all the birds were this morning and then I spotted my new friend. We get a few cats patrolling the garden these days and normally they are not very friendly or inquisitive regarding us humans. This one came right up to the patio door though and engaged in a staring contest with me. I lost I think. I opened the door to get a cleaner image and he/she did a quick runner so this is the best I got.

Now for an embarrassing bit of news. Having said yesterday that I wasn't expecting any success at camera club ... well somehow I won both competitions. The sporting cup was awarded to the extra here and the summer cup was won by the extra here. I am a bit flabbergasted.

In other news we have been invited to grandson Joe's birthday party later this month. As a result I had to cancel our Covid and flu jabs which I had only just booked yesterday, getting the earliest available date. We've re-booked now, a week earlier as someone else had cancelled.
