Drawers

You know that thing I screwed up a couple of weeks ago when I made the carcase too big for the space and had to make it again? Well today I made the drawers to fit in it. Nothing fancy. Strips of plywood glued and nailed and clamped in a corner so they dry as rectangles rather than parallelograms and then a base made of anything that was big enough and thin enough. But, of course, I managed to make an arse of that as well. Not majorly. I just couldn't be bothered going back to the house to measure how deep the drawers should be so I just guessed and they were too big - 5mm sticking out the front. But that's an easy fix: cut some thin strips of oak (or any other wood that's lying around) and glue them to the edge of the carcase. Nice. Looks like you meant it, like you cared enough to cover the pretty ugly raw plywood edge.
