Not quite
You think you're done with the jobs in the boy's flat and, in one sense, in the sense that the flat itself doesn't need any more work (for now), you are but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have other ideas. So today his thoughts returned to his desk.
Now, to be fair, when he moved to the room in Dundee we hastily cobbled together a "desk" by buying two bedside tables from a charity shop and laying a bit of kitchen worktop procured from Bargain Corner in Ikea between them. An actual desk was promised.
So when I dropped off the fridge and we discovered that it doesn't fit under the desk because of the bedside tables, the desk question was forced. Start with the legs. That will allow one of the beside tables to be taken away now and the fridge fitted in. They can be repurposed when the proper desk is ready. Plus I get to do some welding, which is always alarming and fun.
But before we can have legs we need this dirt cheap Lidl metal cutting thing to be able to cut straight.
