A cooler night so
the furnace went on....now there

We have our national day for Truth and Reconciliation to recognize the impact of the Indian residential school system. All federal workplaces, banks, post offices and public services are closed. It is also know as Orange Shirt Day. My brother and I were off to my favourite drive-thru this morning to collect our orange donuts. A local pharmacy supplied the Orange Shirt pin.
It was such a beautiful morning we took a drive over Rose Hill Road in glorious sunshine.
My first shot was looking back at my mountains across the valley to the north. A climb to the top of the hill found us in grazing land with cattle near the fences. At the crest, a look to the north found snowy mountain tops. When it rained on us in the valley overnight, snow fell here. The top of the road gave me this lovely shot of fall aspen. The colours are changing in the landscape. I got my favourite red barn at the turn and an old tool shed nearby.
We were home for lunch. The rest of our day is open to suggestions.
