Maggie's Goes Racing

Another great event by the Maggie's board and fundraising team. Unfortunately the thing they can't control is the weather which wasn't the best today. Nevertheless, a great day was had and people were, once again, very generous.

This evening was the ice rink opening bonspiel and, in what seems to now have become tradition, I faceplanted on the ice as I threw my first stone. Fortunately no damage was done to me or our beautiful new ice. After the game we held presentations for our retiring ice rink manager Lockhart Steele and iceman James Watson both of whom have been at the rink for over 20 years. The extra shows Lockhart with Chairman Jimmy Raeburn from my not very good vantage point.
