Teruel
We left Laredo considerably later than planned today (3 hrs later) as we had all sorts of problems (nothing major thankfully). We finally reached our destination, the Parador de Teruel (treat for us) at about 5.30pm. We headed straight into the city, which is famous for its Mudejar architecture, ham and a tale of young lovers. It’s apparently one of Spain’s best kept secrets and I can confirm that we appeared to be practically the only tourists (overseas at least) in town. By the time we’d parked and climbed up to the old town, the sun was almost setting so we only had time for a brief look around (first impressions excellent) before finding a restaurant. We’re back in the parador now and aiming to head back in the morning to explore everything properly.
