Paddling on the big bay

Up early to drop a friend from work at the airport as he is going to a conference in Nashville. Take babe with me to kill 2 birds with one stone and give her a nice walk along harbour island. One of the boat clubs was having races along the bay. First paddle boarders, then single and tandem kayaks. Looked a great way to work out. Water was like a mill pond. The silence was interrupted by the occasional fighter jet taking off from north island air base on coronardo island. Grey and muggy day.

It's comicon at the convention center this week so lots of super heroes walking around. It's very good just to go people watch downtown as tickets sell out as soon as they come out its so popular.

Then in the afternoon we take delivery of a 3 and an 8 year old girl. Entertain them in the pool, the park, walk to the grocery store and play arts and crafts while watching copious amounts of the Disney channel. I am more tired than they are....am I ready for kids? Maybe not at the moment but 2 at once that can walk and talk is a bit much, would like to be eased gently into this parent lark.
