Impromptu
MONDAY
September went out with a soggy 36 hours of rain and not just light drizzle but the really heavy stuff.
I stayed indoors and took on the task of clearing out the spare bedroom, which was a bit of a dumping ground for boxes when we moved in last year.
Today marks three years since I retired, the time when we started to think seriously about moving and selling our previous house. Some cardboard boxes were still sealed from over two years ago, and it was a surprise to rediscover their contents. One box contained useless bits and pieces from my "man drawer", including die-cast Hillman Imp models that brought back impromptu memories of my first car in 1976—it was just twelve month's old and one of the last of its kind!
