Gift Of A Photo, Maidstone
After the usual earlyish run (we've discovered the best time to go is just after 9.a.m as the school traffic (both by car and on foot) has relented by then) and some weight training I decided to have a quick check for lenses amongst my old camera equipment stored in the garage. Low and behold I found a 70 - 300 lens that I'd completely forgotten about. It was very dusty but I gave it a good clean and tried it out on my D7200 and it worked perfectly!
After all that activity we thought we'd just pop into town to see if we could get our photos for the day. It was again overcast and the pavements were slick with rain so it didn't look promising. We, therefore, headed to The Market House for a quick drink and to keep ourselves dry as the precipitation had begun again. We did have a bit of extra time before we had to get back to the car so decided to have another go at capturing our images. The High Street had these three tiered flower displays dotted along it and I thought they would make a good framing device for my main image. This elderly gent then stopped looked into the window of Snappy Snaps and there I had my snappy snap for the day! By the time we headed along Week Street (see extra) it was getting pretty dark. The only bright light was coming from the vape/phone shop but it was just enough to capture this scene.
