Quod oculus meus videt

Sunrise Rannoch Moor

Loved this morning, driving down to Loch Ba on Rannoch Moor for the start of the day. It started quietly, but for the occasional roar of the red deer stags and the call of the grouse. I spent time playing with reflections in the water before the sun started to paint the mountains.

I was late heading back and then saw the scene in the main picture. The light continued to improve so I was very late getting back to the hotel.

Today we relocated to Skye, via the Skye Bridge. Our hotel is down a two mile single track on the Greshornish Peninsula. The weather is due to be good and there is even a chance of clear skies. I can only imagine it might be a dark sky area where we are staying.
