Marjorie's ramblings

By walkingMarj

Welcome home!

Martyn and I were both on the same flight from Bilbao today, so we were transferred to the airport by Martin (leader).

It all went well until our flight was late to leave. Yet again, I had a tight transfer at Schipol. Martyn suggested asking the air hostess if I could move further forward in the plane and I was moved to a front seat just before we landed.

Off I shot and I made it through emigration and to the gate just in time.

My luggage was not as sprightly and did not arrive home with me. Hopefully tomorrow!

This holiday has certainly been full of incident.

I did not know that Daisy was hiding under an armchair when I came home. She emerged and spent a long time marking me and my belongings with her scent.

She hates coughing, so I may not see her much until the cough goes away…..

On the first plane, I sat next to a young man who had been surfing in Spain. He works in IT in Amsterdam but is Swedish, when I told him about the iPad, he volunteered to go to the address to try to retrieve it. I thought that might be dangerous, so,I declined.

While I was away there was very sad news for Margret, next door. One of her sons collapsed and died suddenly at the weekend. It is devastating.

I opted to collapse in a heap at home today and I will go and see her after a night’s sleep.
