London office

If I ever think about transferring to the London office remind me that I hate commuting.  How people do it every day, I honestly do not know.

I was planning on getting the 7am train but arrived there early so got on the 6:45.  I got to Waterloo at half 7 and walked to the office, a) because I wanted a bit of exercise and b) because I hate crowded tubes or buses.

We had a 1 hour training session and lunch but I think the main purpose of the day was to get the team together.  The new TP director is brilliant and I could learn a lot from him.  They are recruiting a new senior manager to be based in London so my involvement might fizzle out, but we'll see.

I was going to walk back to Waterloo but it was pouring with rain so I got on a bus that was packed like sardines, followed by the train back to Farnborough which was similarly overcrowded.  It tested my anxiety.  After hiding at home frightened of infection for the last 18 months I don't like being in such crowded places with people coughing and sniffing! But it did occur to me that I was healthy enough to be able to do it, so there's a definite positive.

Home now, comfy clothes on and a cup of tea.
