Oh happy day!

When we arrived back home yesterday evening from having a meal with my girl Dee our power had come back on!!! Jerry disconnected the generator and got the power back to everything. We closed the windows, put the air down a few degrees from where we usually keep it so that our bedroom would get cooled down before we went to bed. It was so great sleeping with being sticky with sweat!

Bretts power came on in the early morning hours. He was getting really grumpy so glad that happened.

Tate called Jerry today. He found a place to set up his laptop to work tomorrow. He did say he had a friend who said he could come to their house to set up his work station as they have power but the internet was not up yet but should be soon. I really want to go give him a big hug. My momma heart.

I talked with a friend who had 10 power poles down on their road. Today the crew showed up to work and they were from IOWA which is over a 1000 miles from here. She said they drove 17 hours straight with two people per truck to get here with each person taking turns driving or sleeping. There were 4 big trucks. It takes 2-3 hours to frame up and set one pole depending on the framing. Hoping she will get power tonight or in the morning. It is a process.

It is very humid and warm here. Not unbearably but still hot if you are working out in it.


I got my house all cleaned today including the refrigerator. Since there was hardly anything in it I gave it a good scrubbing and sanitizing. One load of laundry. I also went to the grocery store to restock. That hurt dollar wise!
