"Look at those seeds!"

This Blue Boy was excited to see a tray full of sunflower seeds but not excited to see Chipster the Chipmunk at the other end.  The raised crest is a sign of either aggression or surprise, perhaps a bit of both in this case.  Chipster filled his pouches and scurried off and Blue Boy proceeded to gobble down his share.  The long tray makes sharing a bit easier than the bowls.  Besides his beautiful color and fluffy feathers, don't you just love his "patent leather" feet? I had a pair of black patent leather "Sunday go to meeting" shoes when I was very young. (The name "patent leather" originated from the fact that a patent was granted for the process of creating the shiny finish.)  Funny the things that pop into your mind.
