Heron

I'd gone out to an old woodland/quarry hoping to find some fungi yesterday but no luck. On the way back I dropped into Mirehouse Ponds hoping for something interesting. A few dragonflies were on patrol although much too quick for me. I stalked along the lake shores for a while and was rewarded with another stalker in the shape of a Heron out in the reeds.  The light wasn't great and it was a bit windy so I am pleased with the result.
