Making Money

After a late venue change, this mornings Veterans Breakfast was at ‘Veterans Halt, Connor Downs, for a sausages & egg bap, a couple of cups of coffee and the usual banter and laughs.
Home to collect my accumulated and assorted 16 bottles of wine and spirits with a book of raffle tickets before heading off to the rugby club to make some money for the Women's Team.
Slow but steady ticket sales saw them reach around £250, not too shabby considering the size of the crowd.
I had a cup of coffee whilst I watched Falmouth completely outclassed by a Saltash side during the first half, just managing to stave off a 0-50 scoreline at half time. The second half was an improvement with Saltash conceding their first points of the season but the final score of 7-67 showed the gulf between the teams.
Home to catch Mrs S before another night shift and a gentle walk in the evening sunshine with Paddy.
