Our latest find
We were back on the job in West Hants today, our third day on this property in 6 weeks. It looks much different than it did. We pulled this out from under a shrub today. I noticed it there the last time but we were focused on another area that day. The wooden handles had rotted so A pulled them off. For those of you wondering what it is, it is a walk behind hoe that would be pulled by a team of oxen or horses.
St finished cutting down any dead trees today. A went over the whole yard with a whipper snipper again. Everything has been raked. The garden beds have been defined now. If all goes as planned, we will be back there again in the spring. Hopefully the owner will have someone come in this fall and haul away the debris. I should have taken a photo of it too, to show how much we cleared away.
Out of the 7 quotes that I have done in the past 3 weeks, 6 of them have been accepted. The 7th one, the homeowner decided to try to do the work themselves. Two of the jobs have already been completed. Normally I have started the fall cleanups but it will be after Thanksgiving (Oct 14th) by the time I start them. One of the 6 jobs will be a 2 - 3 day job by the time everything is finished.
Two more sleeps till I leave for Cape Breton.
