October 2
I had a few bulbs to plant in another area on this property today. I planted these New Guinea impatiens and begonias in the spring after we removed a rhododendron from this area. The impatiens are much more showy than the begonias although both have bloomed all summer, no deadheading required. Next year I think I will add a row of impatiens along the sidewalk where we planted the crocus today.
Only 3 workers with me today. Three others were off sick. One came down with a cold on the weekend, after having strep throat last week. Another one did something to his back on the weekend, he feels better tonight so will be back to work tomorrow. The third one came back last week after spending a couple of weeks in Europe. Her stomach has been giving her some issues since she came home, adjusting to the different food she was eating in Europe and coming home to eat more processed food again.
