We went for a lovely walk along the river Kocher and up the Schleifbach gorge. The gorge is well overgrown and management is limited to keeping the path passable. The water is diverted at the top of the gorge to stop erosion to avoid damage to the railway line. At the top is a level crossing which is quite exciting (see extra). We continued along the top a ruined castle and down the slope and back to the starting point along the river.

After our walk we went to Schwäbisch Hall to visit an exhibition of holograms and op art. Always lovely to wander around Hall (further extra). Finally stop at my aunt and uncle's for some cake and coffee. It was lovely to catch up with family.
