The View from the Bridge

An interesting day. We had a guided tour of the Tamar Road Bridge at Plymouth, organised by the Curious Club. The weather was glorious, and this is the view of the railway bridge next to it. The Royal Albert Bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and completed in 1859. We enjoyed the walk across the bridge to Cornwall. Afterwards we walked down steps to the shoreline and had lunch and a drink outside the Ferrybridge Inn. What a place to be on this sunny blue sky day. Here you can see the railway bridge, which obscures the road bridge, in all its glory. See Extra
