Allotment "Zoo Poo" day!

There has been extreme high-excitement down at the Saughton Allotment site this morning - the annual "Zoo Poo" day is here ;-)

Several large, truck-loads of the famous "Zoo Poo" were delivered to the site:

--- "zoo poo is 'garden gold/manure' from Edinburgh Zoo - well rotted manure (1year old) from hoofed animals at the Zoo" ---

... and as you can see from the snap, my allocated quantity (5 barrow-loads) is now safely positioned within one of our large compost-bays, ready to be more widely spread in due course!

Bumper crops are now, once more, all but guaranteed for 2025 :-))

P.S. couple of extras  now added: a late-flowering, Allotment-pond lily; & some delicious Autumn-raspberries!
