Feast Day of St. Francis

St. Francis is the patron saint of animals and ecology.  He called animals his "brothers and sisters".  I've always felt a deep kinship with him.  And if in celebration of his day, the Monarchs appeared.  I had seen only one this entire summer, much earlier, but today there were 5-6 fluttering around the asters by the studio!  One even landed on my shoulder!  What a wonderful treat.  Here is one of my favorite St. Francis quotes, “Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
