The House the Moved

This is my version of the 15th century Merchant's House in Exeter which was saved from demolition and literally picked up and moved out of the way of a new road. The plans are based on a 1/12th scale model by the modeller and author Brian Nickolls, which I simplified and built to 1/48th scale (1/4in to 1ft in old money) - meaning the model is about 8ins tall with the top floor being about 4ins wide. Like most of my models, this one is not quite finished ... but one day I'll retire and have loads of time ;)
