2024 Saturday — First Grandkid

While we’re in SoCal we took a drive north on the 15 Freeway to the new section of Fontana (now the tract-home capital of California) to spend a brief moment at our oldest grandkid’s house. Ashly (without an “e”) just celebrated her 36th birthday on the 19th of September. She is expecting our fifth great grandbaby, a girl, in November.

Ashly & Robert will then have two kids, our middle grandkid, Desiree, has three kids: Tristan, Jade, & Emillia and a stepdaughter Keegan, our grandson, the youngest of the three, Emerson, is not married.

So the count after Ashly’s baby is born will be two boys and three girls in the great-grandbaby department. This is all so amazing — in my mind I’m a 32-year-old.

Ashly’s little boy, RJ, is currently our youngest great-grand. His fifth birthday was June 24th.

Next weekend is a couples baby shower at Ashly & Robert’s house. We will be back on the Central Coast then, so we brought our gifts to them today.
