Richmond upon Thames landmarks

Such lovely sunshine and blue skies today.
After Pilates and a coffee in the club room I had some chores to do. However I then decided to cycle along the river path to Richmond to meet up with some cycling friends at a pub there. We all met up but the pub was so full there were no tables inside for us! Luckily as it was sunny we could sit outside .

This photo was taken from the towpath,  near Ham House. The building on the right is the old Star and Garter home which was for ex servicemen but now it has been converted into luxury apartments. The ornate building on the left is the Petersham hotel which is still open for business. We go there occasionally for afternoon tea as it has a lovely view out over the fields and the river. They have a lot of photos in the corridors of famous people who have stayed there, some while performing at Richmond Theatre.
