Seascape

This morning I went to see the Kingston Stitchers exhibition in Kingston. There was a very impressive array of work in various styles. This was one of my favourites depicting a seascape with appropriate materials too.

After this as it was sunny I returned a book to the library and had a look at the exhibition there of photos of shops in the High Street taken in 1970 and 2023. It was interesting to see a range of small business inn1980 such as bakers, greengrocers, a fishing shop and a small bike shop; now all gone and replaced by hairdressers, an art gallery and various restaurants. The only two still with the same usage are the Post Office and the newspaper shop.
I then proceeded  to the allotment and took down most of the runner beans and put in the compost bin. I found several self seeded buddhlea plants so potted them up ready to give away.

This afternoon we gave Libby a bath outside and gave her a good brush afterwords. She now smells much nicer!
