A phine pair of phoneboxes
Cold first thing today but I dragged myself out of bed an hour and more early, fortified myself with a huge bowl of porridge and headed to the office for the day. I'm quite glad I did: a fortnight ago I struck up a random lunchtime conversation with a colleague I didn't know, but we had a good chat and had arranged to do lunch next time we were in. So we had lunch today and talked electric cars and cycling and job aspirations and all sorts.
On the way to Mum and Dad's for tea I diverted to go to Princes Street, or more accurately Castle Street, to photograph a pair of phone boxes, since today is Phriday. I had expected them to be the modern stainless steel versions that don't have doors, but they've been replaced: we have a pair of KX+ models, the ones with the red fibreglass domed roofs. I think these two look pretty good, all things considered.
Bit of a slog heading to Mum and Dad's, there wasn't any wind but it sure felt like it! And it was a bit of a slog heading home in the dark this evening too. On the country roads I was blinded several times by oncoming drivers on full beam. Still, the exercise was good.
