Hendrix is 7

Hendrix had his 7th birthday party at our house today, with his brothers Buddy and Lennon (from now on to be called Stanley, or Stan), and cousins Bella and Hetty.
They had a great dragon themed party but with a bit of dinosaur thrown in e.g. Hendrix had a Triceratops dressing gown and drinking cup but there were lots of dragon stuff as well.
Bottom smaller photo is Passing the Parcel game, which Hendrix won the last parcel, I think it was a fix!
The picture of the 'cakes' was a bit of an experiment. I do make rather good Rock Cakes but children don't like sultanas so I made them plain and Marlane had an idea of making a hole in the top, filling it with molten jam and calling them volcano cakes.
They were baked in a small cup cake tray, but without the casings - big mistake!! They mostly stuck to the 'non-stick' tray but we managed to dig many of them out without losing too many bottom parts. 
They actually tasted really good, not bad texture as well, but next time I really will have to remember to use mini cake cases.
