Squirrel on the fence……..

……..opposite our kitchen window. He was very cross at another squirrel he had a chased off our garage roof, complaining in the way that squirrel’s do! It’s like a low grumbling bark and chattering.
I had a lovely time with my friends yesterday. Being a glorious morning it was just warm enough to sit outside at our patio table, which catches the sun. I gave them all warm wraps to use if needed, foraged from the wardrobe, having put the chair cushions back in place, from their winter quarters in the summerhouse.
Then we had coffees and teas along with the Lemon Drizzle cake from M&S, as it had been Mary’s birthday two days previously.
It was just so lovely to sit out there under a blue sky, which clouded a little by lunchtime, and enjoy being in the garden. It was too good an opportunity to waste by being indoors.
Today is our eldest grandson’s 13th birthday and we have been invited round for cake at 10.30am.
This is why I am writing this earlier.

It’s been a bit hectic the past few days!
