History

Our house is 130 years old and there is evidence of its age everywhere. On this outside wall there was obviously some climber trained up the wall. I wonder what grew up here, maybe a climbing rose? Now there is solid concrete below so there are no clues. The house is built of local bricks, Dorking Reds, and they are a lovely soft red colour.
It was good to be outside this afternoon in the beautiful autumn sunshine.
