It's a beautiful
morning in the city, so
I couldn't waste it

I had a long wait until the sun appeared today. I went to bed so early that I was awake at 4 AM. At 8 I ventured out with my camera heading for Mission Flats.

I found the offramp at the south end of the bridge was blocked for some kind of maintenance so I had to find my own detour onto Mission Flats.

I spotted a doe and her twins on the other side of the road moving towards me. I pulled over to the shoulder but I was not quick enough. The girls escaped onto a side road that I didn't think I should enter, so all I got was their backsides in retreat.

I had to content myself with landscapes shots along the river. My main shot is looking across the Thompson River to our airport on the north side.

I was disappointed not to find an eagle but I did see a tree full of crows. Somehow to me, an eagle is worth more than a tree full of crows.

I headed for home with my usual stop for breakfast at a drive-thru. The patron in front of me had some salty messages regarding  our Prime Minister. Since he pushed a pipeline through our area, including over preserved land and under our river, I have no time for him either.

I'm in for the day with need of some packing and planning to be done. A pot of soup would be a good thing, too.
