Another grey start,
so I pushed myself out the
door to get photos

I woke up far too early but managed to get back to sleep for a couple of hours. That meant leaving the house rather 'late' for me. I was out the door at 8:30 feeling very unenthusiastic about motion and travel.

I opted for the near and easy. I drove down the hill to the Schubert Drive Lookout along the north river. There were lots of dog walkers and joggers going by on the Rivers Trail, but the little park was empty.

I got the usual shots of my mountains, the view to downtown and to the Halston Bridge looking north.

The neighbourhood seems to have taken charge of the space on the southside of the park below the street level. A set of stairs have been constructed from the Rivers Trail down the slope to the river shore. Interesting signs have been added. The messages indicate a welcome but please take care of this area.

I was noticing several trees near the shore line with considerable beaver damage. They will have those trees down and gone soon. The beavers have really opened up that area.

The little park has a few black-eyed susans to enjoy until the first frost. I see colour on the hillsides as the trees change.

I picked up breakfast on the way home. I hope for a very quiet day as my low energy doesn't offer much else.
