River of Flowers

Saturday: Good Morning!

Beautiful sky this morning and quite a warm and pleasant day.

There was a little group of house martins flying around above our street, nice to see them …

Made a curry for our dinner tonight, remembered I’d seen some new kale in the deep bed behind the greenhouse - the stems were a metre or more in length, I took about a dozen cuttings which are in water on the kitchen windowsill hopefully making roots. Chopped up the fresh kale leaves to add to the curry.

Sat outside to eat my lunch - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3217613081198725572 - I had the company of hover flies, bees and other assorted insects, temperature around 17°C and sunny :-)) … mustn’t forget the birds either who were darting around and scratching under the bushes.

Started clearing my poor tomato plants in the greenhouse, there are a handful of fruit which will eventually ripen … gardening is not an activity for the impatient nor one if you always expect success :-((

This evening we watched 2 episodes from “Foyle’s War” Series 6 - action packed and thorough enjoyable :-))
