...where the light gets in...
Yesterday evening around 9pm we received a message which was all GOOD NEWS. Surgeon rang to say it all went "as well as it could have gone". Massive relief......which was a huge understatement.
Text to C:
She can't talk yet as throat still dry and suffering from tube contact over 48+ hrs but she's very happy to have had the oral tube removed. Nasal tube is supplying O². She's had some nutrition packs attached to get nutrition intravenously. Talk this am about orthopaedic surgeon operating in clavicle at some point. More glimmers of the true K showing through which is a good as it can be with lots of mending still to be done. All looking super positive though.
F & I walked through the old part of hospital today - it's beautiful. I couldn't help but think of Leonard Cohen's words seeing this tiny little window....."There's a crack in everything......that's how the light gets in" which somehow felt right.
