Hoping to help!

My nephew asked if I could make up this kit if he sent it to me. It is a gift his daughter aged 7 had received, but she had no idea how to do it and they had no idea either.  Crochet is not a strong point for me, but luckily I know lots of lovely ladies who will be pleased to lend a hand if I struggle! Hopefully I can get it complete before going down for mum's birthday celebration when I will see them.
It was a busy stint at the village hall this morning. Extra lively as the Close Knit Community we're running a craft session alongside our normal Saturday 'bacon butty" social gathering. There were quite a few children as well as adults decorating small Autumn wreaths and Halloween pots. It all made for a lovely morning at high volume!
I set to some gardening in the afternoon, removing tall dead thistles, lots of them, and moving clumps of plants around the garden. I managed a couple of hours but my neck and shoulder started to complain loudly so I called it a day. I came indoors with the intention of sewing up the cardigan and settled my self in the downstairs sitting room with the sunshine, my talking book and a cuppa. Not much sewing got done but a bit of dozing did!
It was much a much happier mum I spoke to this evening. The security people are in evidence during the day as well as the night which gave mum the confidence to go down to the large reception area to sit and chat to people as she was doing before. A whole different mum who can now concentrate on her upcoming birthday celebration. It's a pity it has had to come to security patrolling but hopefully this may speed up the offender's removal.
I enjoyed Strictly this evening. I feel this year's contestants are a more diverse and interesting bunch of people.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
