Clouds

We had an interesting weekend. Not only did we meet up with some South Africans who had been living in Iceland for decades, but we also went camping for the first time in years. There was a howling wind that raged through the night and I feared our little tent would be blown all the way to the glacier Snæfellsjokull.

When we got up in the morning, these interesting clouds were in the sky. The one looked a bit threatening though, and a few hours later it was pouring with rain and the visibility was very poor, just as we were driving around the glacier. We had to drive through rivers that had formed from the rain and melting ice, and I was a bit scared at times. When we arrived back in Reykjavik after 2 hours, the sun was shining and there was no trace of the bad weather we had encountered.
