Went into Bath in the evening to see Richard Ayoade talk about his new book. We got there in plenty of time but gave up on trying to get a drink at the bar, I’ve never seen such slow service (with not even a pretend sense of urgency) compared to the length of the queue.

Richard was brilliant, so naturally funny when he wasn’t even trying. Matt didn’t know anything in advance about the book so was a bit confused afterwards. Had to get a copy of course.

We planned to get dinner in Bath before heading home but we couldn’t decide what we wanted and were both quite tired, so we grabbed a quick drink while we waited for the train, then headed home and had some chips instead.
