What Comes Our Way...
I haven't seen a Green Anole in a while so I was happy to see this small/young one this morning.
For those of you, not from these parts but who may be 'Hurricane Curious':
The most recent Tropical Storm likely to threaten Florida is named Milton. It is forecasted to travel east across the very warm, in some areas 90 F, waters of the Gulf of Mexico and make landfall early next week. When winds reach 74mph we'll call it Milton, a Category One hurricane. The hurricane prediction cone aka the forecast cone, the cone of concern, or the cone of uncertainty, indicates the forecasted path a hurricane might take. At this point in time the 'cone' covers most of the Florida peninsula, so its still anyone's guess where the storm will make landfall. Milton will come ashore somewhere on Florida's west coast, heading east, crossing the state and eventually moving out into the Atlantic Ocean. At that point Florida's east coast will be dealing with the hurricane's high winds and surf. All this after Hurricane Helene hit the state less than two weeks ago.
