Rusty Tipped Page
The doors are firmly closed to the public for this season at the Butterfly House but the work doesn’t stop. This morning was the first “work day” and there was a great attendance - 11 volunteers turned up. Lots of tidying of cupboards, throwing out old clutter, and a bit of chopping down some plants in the community garden in between showers.
A break for a brew and a piece of cake gave us the opportunity to reflect on a very successful season - over 6,000 visitors and £3,300 in donations and merchandise sales.
My husband was doing Sunday lunch today for Mum and me, my brother and oldest niece who is visiting for the weekend. She has been down in London for the past few weeks and has managed to secure herself a flatshare and get a permanent job, so has really landed on her feet.
Todays butterfly is the Rusty Tipped Page (Siproeta Epaphus) and can be found in the Americas. A striking butterfly I think.
