Sun Studio

Amended image as the date on my previous collage was incorrect - this is C in awe of his surroundings, sat on the stool inscribed with Elvis’s name.

Today we had a great tour of Memphis city followed by a visit to the iconic Sun Studio in the capable hands of “Sam” our guide.

C was beside himself to be in the same studio, stood on the exact “X” marks the spot where Elvis stood when recording many of his hits. He even got to sit at the great steinway piano used on most recordings……. but the moment we will both remember is when the tour guide turned the lights off and played us “Are you lonesome tonight”, the actual recording of him singing in the studio where we were sat, you could have heard a pin drop, it sounded as if he was stood right beside us, talk about goosebumps, we both got quite choked to be honest. It really was “one of those moments” :-))
