I love the workmanship on this shelter by the car park in Castle Hill Country Park,  but can find nothing about its concept,  origins or intended use.

The park seems to have been created on land given by a housing developer,  who presumably found that they couldn't build on it.

A minor mystry in the scheme of things - it's less than a mile from the historic site Old Sarum.

Certainly dog walkers shelter there, and maybe the teams do as they await their turn on the adjacent dog agility course.
