Never too late

I have been keeping an eye open for this dahlia all year.. and had actually given up on it ever appearing back in June.  Today I see it has suddenly appeared and produced this huge bud which is about to open!  I am thrilled as it is the most beautiful dahlia and I was really sad I might have lost it. Do hope a few more flowers will come before the weather becomes too cold. 
A busy sunday getting bits done around the house and then my eldest appeared to do some washing and to stay the night.. lovely.  My sister then appeared for the night so we had a lovely supper all together.
