Between fen and mountains

Shadow work

I was glad to be able to go to the painting group this afternoon. I have missed a few sessions recently. There were just four of us so we were able to concentrate and get a lot done. Marianne, our president, was inspired to do a watercolour of her own shadow when walking the dog. I think it is quite successful. This morning Marco came to collect his clock which he is delighted with and I went to the post office to buy some stamps. That is always an activity with some hazard. There were five in front of me and the queue very slowly reduced until the man in front of me took out a wad of paperwork and asked for one redirection contract to be cancelled and another one to be set up. My heart sank as I knew this piece of French administration would take a long time and indeed I waited behind him for 20 minutes. At least he was quite pleasant and apologised to the lengthening queue behind him!
