A lovely ride out...

...on the bikes today...

We were optimistic, despite the pouring rain this morning! 

Bike Guide Sue led us on a great tour in the sunshine - over the chain ferry to Sandbanks, then along the prom to Bournemouth Pier - see extras.

Return via coffee and the hill back to our digs ;)
Just under 30k all told - mainly on the flat.

I meant to say yesterday - when we arrived in Swanage we'd just missed a train, so we had plenty of time to buy tickets. Otto and the lovely man in the kiosk became BFFs, and Otto introduced him to Sid/Esse the snake. The guy immediately said "he'll need a ticket too" and produced a first train ride ticket, complete with a little drawing of a snake! 
We had a wander down to the beach and Otto bought two more fluffies with his pocket money. He rushed to show them to the guy in the ticket office when we got back - and he said "well they'll need tickets too" and produced two more, with drawings of a hedgehog and a ladybird on them!
On the train Otto lined them all up with their tickets when the conductor came - and he clipped them all and had a lovely chat too! How's that for excellent service ;)
