My main purpose for coming home was to see my elders. An unexpected bonus was to see my best friend, Carolee. She moved to Nova Scotia two years ago and we haven’t seen each other since 2018. Her son still lives in Edmonton and he and his wife have very recently had a baby - their first. Carolee has come to meet her new grandson, and coincidentally, me. The stars aligned!

We had a lovely afternoon just picking up where we left off, with much laughter along the way. Dear friends are the best!
